ORC1 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ORC1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ORC1 (F-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Origin recognition complex 1 (ORC1) plays a pivotal role in initiating DNA replication, essential for cell division and proliferation. ORC1 monoclonal antibody (F-10) targets proteins primarily located in proliferating cell nuclei, where ORC1 binds to specific replication origins and serves as a scaffold for assembling additional initiation factors. This localization ensures DNA replication occurs at correct genomic sites, maintaining stability. Anti-ORC1 antibody (F-10) recognizes proteins that interact with other ORC subunits (ORC2, ORC3, ORC4, ORC5, and ORC6) to form a core complex vital for G1-S transition in the cell cycle. While ORC1 and ORC2 express at similar levels throughout the cell cycle, only ORC2 remains stably bound to chromatin, highlighting these proteins′ dynamic nature during DNA replication. Proper ORC1 functioning and associated proteins ensure accurate DNA replication, fundamental to cellular health and cancer prevention.
