Oatp4 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Oatp4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Oatp4 antibody (D-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Oatp4, also known as Slco1b2, Slc21a10, or LST-1, plays a crucial role in the hepatic uptake of organic anions, including cardiac glycosides and steroid conjugates. As a multi-pass membrane protein consisting of 689 amino acids, Oatp4 is essential for the transport of various substrates, such as bromosulfophthalein and taurocholate, which are vital for liver function and drug metabolism. The liver-specific expression of Oatp4, along with three isoforms produced by alternative splicing, highlights Oatp4′s importance in maintaining homeostasis and regulating the pharmacokinetics of numerous therapeutic agents. Oatp4 monoclonal antibody (D-12) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of drug transport and physiological roles of this critical protein in liver function.
