Nup133 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nup133 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Nup133 antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nup133 plays a crucial role in the structure and function of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs), which are essential for the regulated transport of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm. NPCs are composed of over 100 different proteins known as nucleoporins, which include Nup133. Nup133′s unique structure, characterized by O-linked N-acetylglucosamine modifications and pentapeptide repeat motifs, is vital for maintaining NPC integrity and functionality. Through localization to both cytoplasmic and nuclear sides of the nuclear pore and association with kinetochores during mitosis, Nup133 is integral to RNA export, ensuring efficient transport of essential genetic information out of the nucleus.
