Nup133 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Nup133 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Nup133 antibody (E-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nup133, a crucial component of nuclear pore complexes (NPCs), plays a significant role in the transport of macromolecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm, which is vital for maintaining cellular function and gene expression regulation. Nup133 is strategically located on both the cytoplasmic and nuclear sides of the nuclear pore, and during mitosis, localizes to kinetochores, highlighting its importance in cell division. Nup133 is part of the Nup160 nuclear pore subcomplex, which includes Nup160, Nup96, and Nup107, and is essential for RNA export, ensuring that mRNA and other RNA species are efficiently transported out of the nucleus to the cytoplasm for translation. The presence of O-linked N-acetylglucosamine moieties and a distinctive pentapeptide repeat (XFXFG) in nucleoporins, including Nup133, underscores the complexity and regulatory mechanisms involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport, making Nup133 (E-4) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying cellular transport processes and their implications in health and disease.
