SEE ALSO...

NuMA Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NuMA protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NuMA (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NuMA protein, also known as Nuclear Mitotic Apparatus Protein 1, plays a critical role in organizing and stabilizing spindle poles during mitosis, which is essential for accurate chromosome segregation. Mapping to chromosome 11q13, NuMA gene encodes a noncentrosomal protein that binds to microtubules through its carboxyl terminal region, facilitating bipolar spindle formation by aggregating microtubules and interacting with motor proteins. This function is vital for maintaining genomic stability, as errors in spindle assembly can lead to aneuploidy and contribute to tumorigenesis. NuMA protein is predominantly localized to the spindle apparatus during mitosis, yet also appears in the nucleus and cytoplasm of post-mitotic neurons, indicating diverse roles in different cell types. Elevated NuMA expression levels have been associated with various cancers, particularly colorectal carcinoma, highlighting potential value as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis.

what is the isoelectric point of NUMA(F-11)

Asked by: htting
Thank you for your question. We do not characterize the isoelectric point for any of our antibodies. Although we do not characterize the isoelectric point of our antibodies, we can find some theoretical information regarding isoelectric point. The isoelectric point (pI) of IgG is found in the range of 6.4 to 9.0 [1]. References: [1] Li G, Stewart R, Conlan B, Gilbert A, Roerth P, Nair H.
