NuMA Antibody (A73-B/D12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects NuMA in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. NuMA, or nuclear mitotic apparatus protein, plays a critical role in the organization and stabilization of spindle poles during mitosis, which is essential for accurate chromosome segregation and cell division. NuMA (A73-B/D12) antibody recognizes a protein primarily located in the nucleus during interphase, but upon mitotic entry, NuMA localizes to the spindle apparatus, where NuMA forms aggregates that interact with microtubules and motor proteins. This interaction is vital as NuMA helps to organize microtubules into a bipolar spindle, ensuring that chromosomes are evenly distributed to daughter cells. In post-mitotic neurons, NuMA is found both in the nucleus and cytoplasm, indicating diverse roles beyond mitosis. Elevated expression levels of NuMA have been associated with various cancers, particularly colorectal carcinoma, highlighting NuMA′s potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Anti-NuMA antibody (A73-B/D12) versatility in various applications makes NuMA research invaluable for studying cell division, cancer biology, and mitotic apparatus dynamics.
