SEE ALSO...

NSDHL Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects NSDHL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NSDHL antibody (D-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NSDHL protein, also known as NAD(P) dependent steroid dehydrogenase-like, H105E3, XAP104, or SDR31E1, is a 373 amino acid single-pass membrane protein predominantly expressed in brain, heart, liver, lung, kidney, skin, and placenta. NSDHL protein localizes to endoplasmic reticulum and plays a significant role in demethylation of sterol precursors during later stages of cholesterol synthesis. NSDHL (D-11) antibody has been linked to congenital hemidysplasia with ichthyosiform erythroderma and limb defects (CHILD), an X-linked dominant disorder resulting from defects in NSDHL gene. This condition is characterized by severe lipid metabolism issues and defective cholesterol biosynthesis, often leading to male lethality, highlighting NSDHL protein′s critical role in maintaining proper metabolic function and development.
