SEE ALSO...

NRAMP 2 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NRAMP 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NRAMP 2 antibody (G-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The natural resistance associated macrophage proteins (NRAMPs) are integral membrane proteins that play crucial roles in metal ion transport, with NRAMP 2 functioning as a divalent cation transporter. NRAMP 2 is predominantly expressed in the duodenum, where expression is regulated by dietary iron levels at the brush border, highlighting NRAMP 2′s importance in iron homeostasis and absorption. The gene encoding human NRAMP 2 is located on chromosome 12q13.12, and NRAMP 2 expression is vital for maintaining iron balance in the body. Mutations in NRAMP 2 gene in animal models have been linked to severe anemia, underscoring NRAMP 2′s critical role in iron metabolism and potential implications in various hematological disorders.

For hum placental lysate I obtained 2 bands for DMT1, a strong signal around 50kDa and a weak band between 70 and 60kDa. Was wondering which one to quantify. Expected mol wt is 64kDa, which correspond to the weak signal in my blot betwn 50-70
