NOBOX Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects NOBOX in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NOBOX, or newborn ovary homeobox gene, plays a pivotal role in early ovarian folliculogenesis, specifically in the formation and maintenance of primordial follicles. NOBOX (D-3) antibody is crucial for studying oocyte development regulation, as NOBOX influences the expression of key genes such as Pou5f1 and GDF-9, which are essential for proper oogenesis. Mutations in the NOBOX gene can lead to nonsyndromic ovarian failure by impairing NOBOX′s ability to bind to its DNA-binding element, resulting in disrupted gene regulation. While NOBOX expression is primarily oocyte-specific in the ovary, NOBOX is also found in the adult testis and pancreas, indicating potential involvement in other biological processes. Anti-NOBOX antibody (D-3) effectively detects this important protein, making NOBOX (D-3) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying ovarian function and related disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390016 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
