SEE ALSO...

NOBOX Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects NOBOX protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NOBOX (A-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NOBOX protein plays a crucial role in early ovarian folliculogenesis, which is essential for the development of primordial follicles from germ cell clusters. This process is vital for female fertility, as disruptions can lead to conditions such as premature ovarian failure (POF), affecting approximately 1% of women and resulting in symptoms like amenorrhea and elevated serum gonadotropin levels. Mutations in NOBOX gene can impair binding to NOBOX DNA-binding element, thereby inhibiting the regulation of key factors like Pou5f1 and GDF-9, which are critical for oocyte development. While NOBOX expression is primarily oocyte-specific in the ovary, expression is also found in the adult testis and pancreas, indicating potential involvement in other reproductive and developmental processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514178 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
