nm23-H2 Antibody (X-42) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects nm23-H2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-nm23-H2 antibody (X-42) is available as the non-conjugated form. The nm23 gene is recognized as a potential suppressor of metastasis, having been initially identified through differential hybridization between two murine melanoma sub-lines, one exhibiting high metastatic potential and the other low. Notably, highly metastatic sub-lines show significantly reduced levels of nm23 compared to their less metastatic counterparts. nm23-H2 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, including involvement in nucleotide metabolism, as nm23-H2 is closely related to nucleotide diphosphate kinases (NDP). In humans, NDP kinases A and B correspond to two isotypes of human nm23 homologs, nm23-H1 and H2, respectively. Furthermore, nm23-H2 is identical in sequence to PuF, a transcription factor that binds to specific elements within the human C-Myc promoter, which is essential for regulating gene expression linked to cell proliferation and growth. This interaction underscores nm23-H2′s importance in cellular signaling pathways and potential implications in cancer biology, making nm23-H2 monoclonal antibody (X-42) a valuable tool for researchers studying metastasis and transcriptional regulation.

Is this antibody specific to NM23-H2 and does not recognize other NM23's isoforms? or can we potentially detect other isoforms, like NM23-H1?

thank you for your question. We do not have any data that would indicate nm23-H2 recognize the H1 isoform as well.

For Western Blot, is it recommended to use denatured or non-denatured conditions with nm23-H2 (X-42): sc-100400 antibody?
