SEE ALSO...

NKCC1 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NKCC1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NKCC1 (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NKCC1 plays a crucial role in transcellular movement of chloride ions across epithelial tissues, essential for maintaining fluid balance and electrolyte homeostasis in the body. NKCC1 is predominantly expressed in muscle cells, neurons, and red blood cells, facilitating active chloride secretion in basolateral membrane of secretory epithelia. The gene encoding human NKCC1 is located on chromosome 5q23.3, and NKCC1 disruption in mice has been linked to deafness and balance impairments, highlighting NKCC1′s importance in physiological functions. NKCC1 is part of a larger family of Na-K-Cl cotransporters, including NKCC2, primarily expressed in kidney and involved in sodium chloride reabsorption, and NCCT, which is sensitive to thiazide diuretics and plays a significant role in renal sodium reabsorption. Understanding NKCC1 function and regulation is vital for developing therapeutic strategies for conditions related to electrolyte imbalances and fluid retention.

Hello I am Hunmin Jung in technician in Oral biology in University at Buffalo. I would like to get a sample for test before we purchase. Do we have a chance to get a sample? If that works well, we will order regularly for our future research.

Asked by: Hunmin Jung

Hi Blake, the catalog number for the N-16 antibody was sc-21545. So I am hoping to confirm whether the F4 antibody (catalog number sc-514858) was raised against the same epitope. Thanks.

Asked by: C Thorne
Thank you for contacting Santa Cruz Biotechnology . The epitope range for sc-21545 was 79-94. The epitope range for sc-514858 is 78-99.

Hello, Can you confirm if this is raised against the same epitope as the previous antibody (NKCC1-N16) was raised against? Also, is the blocking peptide sc-514858 P still available for purchase for our use as a specificity control?

Asked by: C Thorne
Thank you for your question. To check the epitope please provide the catalog number for the previous antibody . The blocking peptide is available for purchase .

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514858 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't workI got this sample in replacement of NKCC1 (N-16) for immunofluorescence staining. N-16 is great but this one is not. There was no signal under the same condition, or even at a higher concentration (1:50 dilution).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not working for immunofluorescence stainingThe NKCC1 (N16) give us perfect staining. However, using the same condition, this one give up nothing for the immunofluorescence staining.
