NIMP Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NIMP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NIMP (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NIMP protein, also known as NOGO-interacting mitochondrial protein or RTN4IP1, is a 396 amino acid mitochondrial protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by interacting with oligodendrocyte-specific protein Nogo, which inhibits axon outgrowth and influences neuronal development. NIMP is primarily expressed in mitochondrial-rich tissues such as kidney, heart, and skeletal muscle, as well as specific regions of nervous system, highlighting its importance in both energy metabolism and neural function. NIMP contains a C-terminal oxidoreductase-like domain and multiple phosphorylation sites, suggesting that post-translational modifications may regulate activity and interactions. NIMP exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in cellular signaling and neurodevelopment.
