SEE ALSO...

NHE-1 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NHE-1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NHE-1 Antibody (B-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NHE-1, also known as solute carrier family 9 isoform-1 (SLC9A1), plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular homeostasis by regulating intracellular pH and cell volume through the exchange of sodium (Na+) and hydrogen (H+) ions across the plasma membrane. NHE-1 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of various mammalian tissues, where NHE-1 functions are vital for processes such as cell proliferation, migration, and survival, particularly in response to changes in extracellular conditions. NHE-1 is unique among the Na+/H+ exchanger family as NHE-1 is ubiquitously expressed, while other isoforms exhibit more restricted tissue distribution and regulatory mechanisms. The presence of two putative N-glycosylation sites within NHE-1′s structure is significant, as these post-translational modifications can influence stability, localization, and activity, thereby impacting physiological functions.
