NGAL Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NGAL protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NGAL (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NGAL, also known as Neutrophil Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin, plays a crucial role in immune response, particularly in inflammation. NGAL protein is primarily located in the extracellular space and is secreted by activated neutrophils and epithelial cells, especially during inflammatory conditions. NGAL presence in the extracellular environment allows interaction with various ligands, including bacterial products, which can modulate immune responses and promote tissue repair.
