NFκB p65 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody targeting the NFκB p65 subunit, a critical transcription factor in the NFκB family involved in regulating immune response, inflammation, and cell survival. Anti-NFκB p65 antibody (E-5) is raised against amino acids 1-286 of the human NFκB p65 protein. NFκB p65 plays a key role in the transcriptional activation of various genes and forms a heterodimer with p50, another subunit of NFκB. In its inactive state, NFκB is sequestered in the cytoplasm, bound to IκB proteins. Upon activation by stimuli such as cytokines, mitogens, or stress signals, IκB is degraded, allowing the p65/p50 complex to translocate to the nucleus, where it binds to κB sites on DNA to initiate transcription. This regulation is crucial for controlling inflammatory responses and cell proliferation. The p65 subunit is also known to interact with various coactivators, such as CBP/p300, which enhances its transcriptional activity through acetylation of p65 and chromatin remodeling. NFκB p65 (E-5) antibody is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, and is validated for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
