Neuro D2 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Neuro D2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Neuro D2 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Neuro D2, also known as neurogenic differentiation 2, NDRF, or bHLHa1, is a crucial 382 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in neurogenesis by inducing the differentiation of neural progenitor cells into neurons. This protein contains a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain, which is essential for its function as a transcription factor that regulates gene expression during neuronal development. Neuro D2′s ability to influence cell fate determination is vital for proper nervous system development and function, as this protein helps establish the identity of neuronal cells and their subsequent differentiation. Furthermore, Neuro D2 interacts with other transcription factors within the myogenic determination family, which includes both class A and class B bHLH proteins, to coordinate the complex processes of cell lineage specification and differentiation. The precise regulation of Neuro D2 and its interactions with other proteins are critical for maintaining the balance between proliferation and differentiation in neural tissues, making Neuro D2 an important target for research in neurodevelopmental disorders and regenerative medicine.
