Neu2 Antibody (37Y) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the Neu2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Neu2 antibody (37Y) is available as the non-conjugated isotype antibody. Neu2, also known as N-acetyl-alpha-neuraminidase 2 or SIAL2, is a 380 amino acid cytosolic sialidase that plays a crucial role in the hydrolysis of sialylated compounds, which is essential for various biological processes, including cell signaling and immune response modulation. Neu2 is primarily expressed in fetal liver, skeletal muscle, and certain embryonic carcinoma cell lines, indicating involvement in developmental and pathological processes.
