netrin-1 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects netrin-1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). netrin-1 (A-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. netrin-1 plays a crucial role in nervous system development by serving as a guidance cue for axonal growth and cell migration. netrin-1 is primarily expressed in the developing nervous system and mesodermal tissues, where secretion occurs from the floor plate as either a cell-associated protein or in a diffusible form. netrin-1 binds to specific receptors, such as deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC) and neogenin, which mediate effects on neuronal guidance. During embryonic development, netrin-1 establishes a chemoattractant gradient directing axonal migration toward the ventral midline of the spinal cord, influencing proper neural circuit formation. netrin-1 signaling is modulated by extracellular calcium levels and protein kinase A activity, which can alter axon responsiveness to netrin proteins, allowing for both attraction and repulsion depending on developmental context. This dynamic regulation underscores netrin-1′s significance in neural development and potential implications in understanding neurodevelopmental disorders.
