NELF-A Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects NELF-A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NELF-A, also known as WHSC2 (Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome candidate 2), plays a crucial role in transcription elongation regulation by forming part of the multisubunit NELF complex, which works with DSIF to inhibit RNA polymerase II elongation. This regulation ensures precisely controlled transcription, allowing cells to respond appropriately to various signals. The NELF complex, including NELF-A, maintains the balance between transcriptional activation and repression, particularly important in development and differentiation. The human NELF-A gene is located on chromosome 4p16.3, and hemizygous deletion is associated with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, a condition characterized by significant mental and developmental challenges. NELF-A is expressed in endothelial cells and consists of 528 amino acids, highlighting importance in cellular function and development. anti-NELF-A antibody (F-2) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying transcription regulation and implications in various biological processes and diseases.
