Nek6 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Nek6 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nek6 plays a crucial role in cell division, particularly during the M phase of the cell cycle, where Nek6 is essential for proper chromosome segregation at the metaphase-anaphase transition, thereby ensuring accurate mitotic progression. Nek6 is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and exhibits ubiquitous expression, with highest levels found in the heart and skeletal muscle, highlighting Nek6′s importance in tissues that require precise control of cell division. Activation of Nek6 during M phase underscores Nek6′s significance in maintaining genomic stability, and dysregulation has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer.
