NEDD1 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NEDD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-NEDD1 antibody (H-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NEDD1, also known as neural precursor cell expressed, developmentally down-regulated 1 or GCP-WD, is a highly conserved protein that plays a pivotal role in microtubule nucleation during mitosis. NEDD1 is characterized by the presence of eight WD40 repeats and a coiled-coil domain at its C-terminus, which are essential for function in the γ-tubulin ring complex (γTuRC). Post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation, regulate NEDD1 localization and activity, which is crucial for interaction with γ-tubulin and targeting to the centrosome and spindle apparatus. This regulation is vital for proper microtubule organization and function during cell division. Disruption of NEDD1 function can lead to impaired microtubule nucleation and has been implicated in various cancerous processes, making NEDD1 a potential target for therapeutic intervention in cancer treatment.

We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. Rated 3 out of 5 by from ANTIBODY TESTED FOR IFWe used this antibody 1: 500 on control iPSCs fixed with MeOH to perform immunofluorescence assay. The signal is clear (we observed dots in correspondence of the gamma-tubulin) but with a lot of background.
