NARFL Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NARFL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NARFL (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NARFL protein, also known as nuclear prelamin A recognition factor-like, plays a crucial role in the maturation of extramitochondrial sulfur and iron proteins, which are essential for various cellular functions, including the assembly of iron-sulfur clusters that are vital for numerous enzymatic reactions. NARFL protein is widely expressed and exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms, highlighting its versatility and importance in cellular processes. NARFL is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 16p13.3 and murine chromosome 17 A3.3, and NARFL protein may also have a regulatory role in negatively modulating hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α) expression, linking NARFL to cellular responses to oxygen levels.
