NaBC1 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects NaBC1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NaBC1 antibody (B-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NaBC1, also known as Novel amplified in breast cancer 1, plays a critical role in cellular processes, particularly in breast cancer, where NaBC1 is often found to be amplified. NaBC1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm as a detergent-stable homodimer and interacts with proteins such as DYNLL1 and DYNLL2, which are involved in various cellular functions, including intracellular transport and apoptosis. NaBC1 interaction with these proteins suggests a complex regulatory mechanism that may influence tumor progression and metastasis. Breast tumor lines exhibiting amplification at the 20q13.2 locus show significantly elevated levels of NaBC1 compared to other breast cancer lines that do not overexpress NaBC1 mRNA, although this upregulation does not correlate with increased growth rates or anchoring abilities, indicating that NaBC1 oncogenic properties may operate through distinct pathways compared to other oncogenes.
