SEE ALSO...

Myf-5 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects Myf-5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Myf-5 antibody (B-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myf-5, a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor family, plays a crucial role in muscle development by regulating myogenic cell differentiation. Myf-5 (B-2) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein essential for precursor cell commitment to myogenic lineage, with expression tightly controlled during muscle cell differentiation. Myf-5 forms heterodimers with other bHLH proteins, such as Myo D, enhancing function in binding to E-box sequences in regulatory regions of muscle-specific genes, thereby facilitating transcriptional activation necessary for muscle formation. Understanding Myf-5′s role in muscle development provides insights into muscle regeneration and potential therapeutic targets for muscle-wasting diseases.
