Myf-5 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects Myf-5 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Myf-5 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myf-5 plays a crucial role in muscle development as a member of the myogenic regulatory factor (MRF) family, which is essential for myogenic cell differentiation. Myf-5 is primarily located in the nucleus, where Myf-5 functions as a transcription factor regulating muscle-specific gene expression. Nuclear localization of Myf-5 enables DNA interaction and transcriptional machinery engagement, influencing genes necessary for muscle cell differentiation and development. Myf-5 is often co-expressed with other MRFs, such as Myo D and myogenin, which together orchestrate muscle formation. Myf-5′s ability to form heterodimers with other bHLH proteins enhances regulatory capacity, making Myf-5 a key player in muscle differentiation.
