MyD88 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MyD88 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MyD88 (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MyD88 plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as an adaptor protein that facilitates the signaling cascade initiated by the interleukin-1 receptor, leading to the activation of the NFκB pathway. This pathway is vital for the transcription of pro-inflammatory cytokines and other immune mediators, which are essential for mounting an effective immune response. MyD88 structure includes a distinctive N-terminal death domain that is critical for interaction with interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase (IRAK) and an adjacent Toll/IL-1R homology domain (TIR domain) that mediates protein-protein interactions within the receptor complex. Proper functioning of MyD88 is essential for the innate immune system, and dysregulation of MyD88 signaling can lead to various inflammatory diseases and conditions.
