MYBPC3 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MYBPC3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MYBPC3 (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MYBPC3 protein, also known as myosin-binding protein C, cardiac, plays a crucial role in cardiac muscle contraction by modulating the interaction between myosin and actin filaments. MYBPC3 is located in the crossbridge-bearing zone of the A bands in vertebrate striated muscle, where MYBPC3 helps regulate the contractile function of the heart. Phosphorylation of MYBPC3 by cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) during adrenergic stimulation is essential for proper modulation of cardiac contraction, highlighting MYBPC3′s importance in maintaining heart function. Mutations in MYBPC3 can lead to protein truncation, which significantly contributes to familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy type 4 (CMH4), a condition characterized by ventricular hypertrophy, often affecting the interventricular septum asymmetrically. MYBPC3 gene is located on chromosome 11p11.2, making MYBPC3 a critical target for research into cardiac diseases and potential therapeutic interventions.
