SEE ALSO...

Mucin 16 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Mucin 16 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Mucin 16 antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Mucin 16, also known as CA125, is a high molecular weight glycoprotein that plays a critical role in protecting and maintaining epithelial tissues. Mucin 16 (C-6) monoclonal antibody recognizes proteins primarily located on the cell surface, involved in forming protective barriers against pathogens and environmental damage. This localization enables cell signaling and adhesion, vital for maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating communication between cells. Mucin 16 serves as a significant tumor marker for monitoring ovarian cancer progression. Anti-Mucin 16 antibody (C-6) targets a protein composed of three distinct domains: a carboxy terminal domain, an extracellular domain, and an amino terminal domain, contributing to structural complexity and functional versatility. Mucin 16′s presence in the glycocalyx, a protective layer on epithelial cells, highlights its importance in immune response and cellular interactions, making Mucin 16 (C-6) antibody valuable for research and clinical applications in cancer diagnostics and therapeutic monitoring.
