SEE ALSO...

MTMR4 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MTMR4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MTMR4 (D-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MTMR4 protein is part of the myotubularin family, which consists of highly conserved eukaryotic phosphatases that play a crucial role in cellular signaling by hydrolyzing inositol phospholipids, specifically Phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate and Phosphatidylinositol (3,5) bisphosphate. This enzymatic activity is vital for regulating membrane trafficking and cellular processes such as autophagy and endocytosis. MTMR4 interacts with other members of the MTMR family, including MTMR2 and MTMR3, which can influence localization and function within the cell. Mutations in related proteins, such as MTMR2, have been linked to autosomal recessive Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, highlighting the significance of these proteins in maintaining neuronal health. Anti-MTMR4 antibody (D-5) effectively detects and characterizes MTMR4 protein, making this reagent an essential tool for researchers studying the molecular mechanisms underlying these critical cellular functions and their implications in disease.
