mSHMT Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects mSHMT protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-mSHMT antibody (F-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The mammalian serine hydroxymethyltransferase (SHMT) plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the reversible conversion of serine and tetrahydrofolate to glycine and methylenetetrahydrofolate, which is essential for one-carbon metabolism. This process is vital for the synthesis of nucleotides, particularly thymidylate, which is necessary for DNA replication and repair.
