SEE ALSO...

MRTF-A Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MRTF-A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-MRTF-A antibody (G-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MRTF-A, also known as myocardin-related transcription factor A, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression in response to growth factors, particularly in muscle cells. MRTF-A primarily localizes in the nucleus, where MRTF-A interacts with serum response factor (SRF) to enhance transcriptional activity of muscle-specific genes. This nuclear localization enables MRTF-A to effectively modulate the expression of genes involved in muscle development and cardiovascular function, influencing processes such as myogenesis and vascular smooth muscle differentiation. MRTF-A and SRF interaction is essential for cardiovascular system formation during vertebrate development, highlighting MRTF-A′s importance in both normal physiological processes and potential pathological conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the antobody work very wellThe antibody works very well and I recommend it for western blot
Date published: 2021-11-07
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Ab worked in WesternThe Ab detected the MRTF-A in the Western. However, it only worked at 1:200 or lower dilution, which makes it too expensive to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RECOMMENDED FOR IF STAININGS The antibodyRECOMMENDED FOR IF STAININGS The antibody gives reliable IF stainings on HeLa and NMuMG cells: excluded (NMuMG)/evenly distributed (HeLa) upon serum starvation, clearly nuclear upon serum stimulation, clearly nuclear upon cytochalasinD treatment, excluded upon latrunculinA treatment. Fixation: 4% PFA 10' at RT. Primary antibody incubation 1:200 in 2% goat serum PBST 0,1% ON at 4 C. We tested sc32909, sc21558 and sc47282 and NONE gave any specific staining (i.e. none recognized a protein that shuttled between the nucleus and the cytoplasm according to what expected in the literature and observed with the sc390324)
