MRTF-A Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects MRTF-A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MRTF-A antibody (G-7) is available as both non-conjugated and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The myocardin-related transcription factor A (MRTF-A), also known as MKL1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and gene expression, particularly in muscle cells. MRTF-A (G-7) antibody primarily localizes in the cytoplasm under resting conditions but translocates to the nucleus in response to growth factors and mechanical stress, where MRTF-A interacts with serum response factor (SRF) to regulate genes involved in muscle development and cardiovascular function. This translocation allows MRTF-A to modulate SRF transcriptional activity, influencing genes necessary for muscle differentiation and proliferation. MRTF-A shuttling between cytoplasm and nucleus ensures appropriate gene activation in response to physiological stimuli, making MRTF-A essential for cardiovascular system development and maintenance.
