    SEE ALSO...

MRP-L2 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MRP-L2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MRP-L2 (D-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MRP-L2, also known as CGI-22 or RPML14, is a crucial component of mitochondrial ribosomes, which are essential for protein synthesis within mitochondria. MRP-L2 consists of 305 amino acids and belongs to the ribosomal protein L2P family, playing a vital role in the assembly and function of the mitochondrial ribosome. Proper functioning of mitochondrial ribosomes is critical for cellular energy production, as these structures synthesize proteins integral to the electron transport chain and ATP generation. Notably, the gene encoding MRP-L2 is located on human chromosome 6, a region associated with various health conditions, including early onset intestinal cancer and several genetic disorders. Deletion of a portion of the q arm of chromosome 6 has been linked to cancer susceptibility, highlighting MRP-L2′s importance in both mitochondrial function and potential disease mechanisms.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398473 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
