SEE ALSO...

MRE11 Antibody (18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MRE11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-MRE11 antibody (18) is available as non-conjugated and plays a crucial role in the cellular response to DNA damage. MRE11 (18) antibody recognizes a vital component of the MRN complex, which includes RAD50 and NBS1, essential for DNA double-strand break repair through homologous recombination. MRE11 functions in the nucleus as a 3′ to 5′ exonuclease and endonuclease, facilitating DNA end processing to promote repair and maintain genomic stability. Nuclear localization ensures rapid response to DNA damage, preventing potential mutations and neoplastic transformations. MRE11 participates in telomere maintenance, highlighting significance in cellular health and longevity. MRE11 interaction with RAD50 and NBS1 enhances DNA repair pathway functionality, making MRE11 (18) monoclonal antibody valuable for cancer biology and genetic disorder studies.

I am using MRE11 (18): sc-135992 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
