    SEE ALSO...

MYL12A/B Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects MYL12A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MYL12A, also known as MRLC3 or MLCB, plays a crucial role in regulating contraction in smooth muscle and non-muscle cells by undergoing phosphorylation through the action of myosin light chain kinase (MLCK) in the presence of calcium and calmodulin. This post-translational modification is vital as it enhances the Actin-activated myosin ATPase activity, thereby modulating the contractile function of these cells. The phosphorylation state of MYL12A is essential for various physiological processes, including muscle contraction and cellular motility, making MYL12A a key player in both normal and pathological conditions. Additionally, MYL12A is found in striated skeletal muscle, where MYL12A′s precise function remains to be fully elucidated, highlighting the importance of further research into MYL12A′s role in muscle physiology. MYL12A (G-5) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the dynamics of muscle contraction and the regulatory mechanisms underlying cellular movement.
