SEE ALSO...

MYL9/MYL12A/B Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects myosin light chain proteins, specifically MYL9, MYL12A, and MYL12B, in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MYL9/MYL12A/B (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Myosin light chains play a crucial role in muscle contraction and cellular motility by interacting with actin filaments, and phosphorylation state is vital for regulating these processes. Phosphorylation of myosin regulatory light chains, particularly by myosin light chain kinase in the presence of calcium and calmodulin, enhances actin-activated myosin ATPase activity, which is essential for muscle contraction and various cellular movements. Additionally, myosin light chain presence in striated skeletal muscle suggests a potential role in muscle function that remains to be fully elucidated. Understanding myosin light chain phosphorylation dynamics and implications in muscle physiology and pathology can provide insights into various muscular disorders and potential therapeutic targets.

I am looking for an AB that will stain phosphorylated LC-20. Can this AB be used for this purpose or do you provide another version of AB that stains for phospho-LC-20 as well?

Asked by: doksana
Thank you for your question. MYL9/MYL12A/B Antibody (E-4): sc-28329 will recognize its target protein in both phosphorylated and unphosphorylated form. The antibody is unable to distinguish between the two forms however.

Can I use MYL9/MYL12A/B (E-4): sc-28329 mouse monoclonal antibody for immunohistochemical staining of mouse tissue?

Asked by: cjMara
Yes. We recommend either using a directly conjugated monoclonal antibody. MYL9/MYL12A/B (E-4): sc-28329 monoclonal antibody is available directly conjugated to either HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488 or Alexa Fluor® 647. Alternatively, we recommend performing indirect staining using our recommended mouse IgG binding protein conjugated to HRP (sc-516102). https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/m-igg-kappa-bp-hrp?requestFrom=search

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buen resultadoNos mandaron la prueba del anticuerpo hace dos semanas. Lo usamos en western blot, en muestras invitro, con una concentración de 1:1000 y con 1% de BSA en TBST. Funcionó bastante bien, se veía una señal clara y no necesitaba mucha exposición. Compraremos el original próximamente.
