MRCKβ Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects MRCKβ in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MRCKβ, a member of the myotonic dystrophy kinase-related Cdc42-binding kinases family, plays a crucial role in regulating actin dynamics and cellular processes by phosphorylating nonmuscle myosin light chain, which influences actin-myosin contractility. MRCKβ is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where MRCKβ interacts with various signaling pathways essential for cell motility and shape. This localization enables rapid response to extracellular signals, facilitating processes such as cell migration and division. Additionally, MRCKβ contains a cysteine-rich motif and a putative pleckstrin homology domain, which are important for interaction with phospholipids and other proteins, further underscoring MRCKβ′s role in cytoskeletal reorganization and cellular signaling. With an ability to phosphorylate and activate downstream targets, MRCKβ is integral to the modulation of the actin cytoskeleton, making MRCKβ a vital player in various physiological and pathological processes.
