MOAP1 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects MOAP1 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MOAP1, or modulator of apoptosis 1, is a crucial 352 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene MOAP1, belonging to the PNMA family, and is essential for mediating death receptor-dependent apoptosis. The protein features a BH3-like domain and a RASSF1-binding domain, which play significant roles in its function. When MOAP1 interacts with RASSF1 isoform A, MOAP1 undergoes a conformational change that activates pro-apoptotic properties by facilitating the translocation of Bax to mitochondrial membranes in response to tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and TNFSF10 stimulation.
