MLL5 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MLL5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MLL5 Antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MLL5 protein is a member of the mixed lineage leukemia (MLL) gene family, which consists of histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4) methyltransferases that play crucial roles in gene regulation and chromatin remodeling. MLL5 is particularly important for maintaining proper cellular growth and differentiation, as MLL5 is involved in the formation of intranuclear protein complexes that regulate chromatin structure. This regulation is vital for controlling gene expression patterns during development and in response to cellular signals. The gene encoding human MLL5 is located on chromosome band 7q22, a region frequently associated with cytogenetic abnormalities in acute myeloid malignancies, highlighting MLL5′s potential role in cancer biology. MLL5′s localization to the nucleus underscores MLL5′s function in modulating chromatin dynamics, which is essential for the suppression of uncontrolled cellular proliferation.
