MLK3 Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects MLK3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MLK3, also known as PTK1, is a novel human non-receptor protein kinase consisting of 847 amino acids and is notable for unique structural features, including an SH3 domain without an accompanying SH2 domain. This structural arrangement allows MLK3 to interact with proline-rich sequences in target proteins, facilitating critical signaling pathways. MLK3 contains a leucine zipper basic region, a motif often associated with transcription factors, suggesting a potential role in gene regulation. The long carboxy-terminal tail of MLK3, rich in proline motifs, enhances binding with other signaling intermediates, thereby influencing various cellular processes. MLK3 is widely expressed across different tissues and shares close relation to MLK1 and MLK2 kinases, underscoring importance in cellular signaling networks.
