SEE ALSO...

MICA/B Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects MICA in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MICA is a stress-induced antigen closely related to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules and is predominantly expressed on the surface of epithelial cells, particularly in the context of tumors. MICA on the cell surface serves as a signal of cellular distress, alerting the immune system to potential threats. MICA is highly glycosylated and is expressed independently of conventional class I peptide ligands or β-2-Microglobulin, which allows stable presentation on the cell surface during conditions of stress, such as heat shock or cellular proliferation. MICA engagement with Vδ1 γδ T cells in the intestinal epithelium underscores MICA′s importance in mediating immune responses, particularly in epithelial tumors, where MICA may play a pivotal role in the recognition and elimination of stressed or malignant cells. Anti-MICA/B antibody (D-8) is an essential tool for researchers investigating the immune response in cancer and other diseases characterized by cellular stress.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271535 P appropriate for?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
