    SEE ALSO...

MICA/B Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects MICA in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MICA antibody (A-9) targets MICA, a stress-induced antigen closely related to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules, which plays a crucial role in the immune response by signaling cellular distress. MICA is predominantly expressed on the surface of epithelial cells, particularly during conditions of stress such as heat shock or proliferation, making MICA an important marker for identifying tumor cells in epithelial tissues. MICA expression on these cells is significant as MICA can activate Vδ1 γδ T cells, which are part of the innate immune system, thereby facilitating a rapid immune response to potential threats. This interaction underscores MICA′s importance in immune surveillance and highlights MICA′s potential as a therapeutic target in cancer immunotherapy. MICA/B (A-9) antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying the dynamics of immune responses in various pathological conditions, particularly in the context of epithelial tumors.
