SEE ALSO...

mGluR-4 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects mGluR-4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-mGluR-4 antibody (B-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. mGluR-4, a member of the metabotropic glutamate receptor family, plays a crucial role in modulating synaptic transmission and plasticity in the central nervous system, particularly in the cerebellum where mGluR-4 is highly expressed. mGluR-4 is involved in the regulation of neurotransmitter release and has been implicated in various neurological disorders, making mGluR-4 an important target for research into therapeutic interventions. Notably, mGluR-4 interacts with specific proteins such as PRKCABP, which can influence signaling pathways and functional outcomes. Understanding these interactions is vital for elucidating the complex mechanisms of glutamate signaling and its implications in both normal physiology and disease states.

Are there any issues with using sc-376485: mGluR-4 (B-8) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-376485 conjugates.
