MetAP-1 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects MetAP-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MetAP-1, a member of the M24 family of proteins, plays a crucial role in protein maturation by removing the amino-terminal methionine residue from nascent polypeptides, a process essential for proper protein folding and function. This 394-amino acid protein is expressed at low levels across various tissues but is particularly abundant in skeletal muscle, highlighting MetAP-1′s importance in muscle physiology.
