Mesothelin Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Mesothelin in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Mesothelin is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-linked cell-surface protein that plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling, making Mesothelin significant in various physiological and pathological processes. Mesothelin expression is particularly notable in the mesothelial lining of body cavities and in numerous tumor cells, where Mesothelin serves as a tumor-associated antigen. Mesothelin presence is especially pronounced in ovarian cancers, including serous papillary, endometrioid, and undifferentiated types, as well as in pancreatic cancers, highlighting Mesothelin′s potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and therapy. Mesothelin is involved in interactions with specific proteins such as CA125 and MUC16, which are also implicated in cancer progression and metastasis. Anti-Mesothelin antibody (C-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs.
