    SEE ALSO...

Med7 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Med7 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Med7 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Med7 plays a crucial role in transcription regulation within mammalian cells, functioning as a key component of high molecular weight coactivating complexes that facilitate communication between transcriptional activators and RNA polymerase II. Med7 functions as part of the SMCC (SRB and MED protein cofactor complex), which enhances gene-specific activation or repression by DNA-binding transcription factors. Med7′s interaction with Med6 and Srb7 allows for RNAPII holoenzyme assembly, promoting effective transcriptional regulation. Med7′s involvement with coactivator proteins from TRAP and DRIP complexes underscores Med7′s importance in steroid receptor-dependent transcriptional activation, while Med7′s association with positive cofactor 4 (PC4) highlights Med7′s role in repressing basal transcription independently of RNA polymerase II activity. This multifaceted functionality makes Med7 a vital player in gene expression regulation, emphasizing anti-Med7 antibody (E-4)′s significance in research applications aimed at understanding transcriptional mechanisms.
