SEE ALSO...

MCM7 Antibody (141.2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MCM7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MCM7 monoclonal antibody (141.2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) family of proteins, which includes MCM2, MCM3, MCM4 (Cdc21), MCM5 (Cdc46), MCM6 (Mis5), and MCM7 (Cdc47), plays a crucial role in regulating DNA replication, ensuring that replication occurs only once during the cell cycle. MCM7 is essential for the formation of the MCM2-7 complex, which acts as a helicase to unwind DNA strands, thereby facilitating the replication process. Proper functioning of MCM7 is vital for maintaining genomic stability, as any dysregulation can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation and contribute to oncogenesis. Expression of MCM proteins, including MCM7, increases during cell growth, peaking at the transition from the G1 to S phase of the cell cycle, and is tightly regulated by E2F transcription factors and various protein kinases. MCM7′s interaction with other MCM proteins, particularly in the formation of the helicase complex, underscores MCM7′s importance in the DNA replication machinery, making MCM7 (141.2) antibody a valuable tool for studying cell cycle dynamics and the mechanisms of DNA replication.

Is there any data showing MCM7 Antibody (141.2): sc-9966 is specific to MCM7?

Asked by: jenni
Thank you for your question. We have Western blot data showing HeLa cells treated with siRNA to show knockdown of signal, confirming specificity to MCM7.
