SEE ALSO...

Matriptase Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Matriptase protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Matriptase antibody (D-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Matriptase, also known as MT-SP1, ST14, prostamin, and epithin, is a type II transmembrane serine protease that plays a crucial role in the regulation of extracellular matrix remodeling, tumor growth, and metastasis, making Matriptase a significant target in cancer research. Matriptase (D-7) antibody primarily detects expression in the cell membrane, where proteolytic activity is essential for processing various substrates involved in cell signaling and tissue homeostasis. Membrane localization of Matriptase enables precise regulation of proteolytic activity in the extracellular environment, influencing cellular interactions and the tumor microenvironment. Notably, sphingosine 1-phosphate found in serum-derived lipoproteins activates Matriptase, which in turn activates key factors such as urokinase-type plasminogen activator and hepatocyte growth factor. The balance between Matriptase and hepatocyte growth factor activator inhibitor type 1 is critical, as an imbalance can lead to enhanced tumor progression, particularly in advanced-stage ovarian cancers. This highlights Matriptase′s importance in both normal physiological processes and pathological conditions, making anti-Matriptase antibody (D-7) an invaluable tool for researchers studying cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
