MASL1 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MASL1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MASL1 antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MASL1, also known as malignant fibrous histiocytoma amplified sequence 1 (MFHAS1) or LRRC65, is a 1,052 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of 13 leucine-rich repeats (LRRs). These LRRs, which consist of 20-30 amino acid motifs, form a hydrophobic α/β horseshoe fold that is crucial for mediating protein-protein interactions during the cell cycle. The structural integrity provided by the LRRs is essential for proper MASL1 functioning, as these repeats facilitate interactions with other proteins vital for cell cycle regulation. MASL1 is ubiquitously expressed and notably upregulated in malignant fibrous histiocytomas, indicating a potential role in tumorigenesis through protein interaction modulation. Additionally, the MASL1 gene is associated with chromosomal aberrations linked to B-cell lymphoma, underscoring its significance in cancer biology and the importance of studying its interactions and functions in various cellular contexts.
